Knowing what I now know, after only a few months on the job at WebDesign.Com, I am ready to do a site redesign. Don’t get me wrong, I love the site you see before you, but I am ready to start out the RIGHT way. With all the work to get it to the “right” way, I might as well redesign, right?
I want my site to look good, and focus will definitely be put on that. But more importantly, I want my site to be found easily. Over the past few weeks, I have literally become obsessed with SEO on client sites. WordPress offers so many opportunities to get a great Google ranking, and I want to build my site from the ground up for Google. When I started this site, I barely knew what a meta-tag was. Now, I am pretty competent with the tricks of the trade.
Rebranding comes in because, well, my primary focus right now is not photography. I love photography, and I will continue to do it for a long time I am sure. But right now I am really enjoying what I do in Web Design. I want to have a more open blog, and talk about some of the things that I deal with at work. I love WordPress, and I am sure that it will be a regular topic.
Ok, well I am in the process of rolling out the new site. The site you are looking at right now is not going away. It will always be found at mattdanner.net/photography.
