So a little while back, I started playing with infrared film again. As much as I would love to say that it was 4×5, that just wasn’t financially possible for me (4×5 infrared is insanely expensive). So I got some good old 35mm kodak infrared. The film I was using is no longer available for retail, but you can always find someone with it on ebay or craigslist.
So below are two shots from the roll that I just scanned in yesterday. Both were taken with a Canon AT-1 (you can’t use any kind of auto-advance camera with infrared because it will fog, so you have to find an old all manual if you want to shoot this). I was using a 24mm 2.8. I was using a deep red filter, but it was not an opaque true infrared filter. I metered through the lens, and adjusted my exposure 3 stops for the red filter.
